If you are considering dumping your boyfriend cos he won't have sex while you are menstruating... maybe you don't really love him enough to overlook his "selfishness".


At the same time, if he really loved you, he should at least try to indulge you because I'm sure you would indulge other things for him to - it works both ways. And he should not make you feel UGLY for having a period, which is the most natural thing in the world. If he ever in his life wants kids/family, then he needs to be with someone who menstruates!

Guys are different. I for one SO wish that my girlfriend would agree to have sex during her period. For me that would be a very big turn on! But to her upbringing and thinking it would be dirty so she refuses. Your guy is very fortunate if you are horny or extra horny during your period. I never thought about dumping her just because she is unavailable every fourth week, I have asked her to think about trying sex once during her period. Still no go. Oh well.

Not wanting to have sex with you when you have your period is surely not a "dumpable" offence?! You gotta admit it can be pretty gross and messy, so I don't blame the guy for not wanting it. If you're that horny, get a vibrator and sort yourself out, instead of taking it out on the poor guy.

you can use a sea sponge available at most pharmacies. Means no mess, and both parties are happy. These things are safe and hygenic (boil it first).

In some cultures it is taboo to have sex during periods. It can also smell gross as well as being messy. A matter of personal choice, many people choose not to.

As a woman I would say its far more usual for women not to want to have sex during their period, not 50-50.

From a mans point of view. My current GF is very horny during her period. I was a little shocked and never come across that before. I have no issues with sex in the shower but I faint at the sight of blood so I have to keep my eyes closed or the lights on low.


Try other things, how about a trip to Temple Street Market and get a small vibrator for yourself. I am sure you can think of a way to make him happy while you are making yourself happy that does not have to include sex. Plus I think you will get him so turned on he will forget that he did not want to!
