Guys drunk-dialling....

Hey guys, need some inputs here. i used to date this guy for awhile, but things took a dive and we're just friends. he calls me whenever hes drunk or stoned out of his head, and its definitely not a booty call. he just wants to see me and hang out together. Last i heard, he reconciled with his girlfriend - so my question is that why does he call me and not his girlfriend? Why does he want to see or hangout with me, and not his girlfriend? And when he do comes over, he speaks in codes - as if he wants to tell me something but somehow dont have the guts to say it other than speaking in codes. And when he is sober the next day, he does not talk about it, and pretends that nothing happened. Any clues on what he really wants? (though i know what i have written is not much of a help for clues finding...).

He really misses you. He may still have feelings for you. When he is drunk his inhibitions are lowered and he calls you because you are the person who wants to talk to most.


It is not unusual to still 'carry a torch' for an ex. Even if now dating again, and sometimes after marriage. This is not a new thing, it is a very old notion.


It doesn't mean he wants, or expects it to go anywhere. But when drunk we have moments of weakness.


And like you, I don't think it is a booty call.

thanks all for your replies. Am very very certain that its NOT a booty call that he was hoping to get or have. Cos those times when hes over, we chat, laugh and just chill/hang out, yes we cuddle but no sex and no making out sessions. Plus he doesnt stay for the night. Given if this were to happen again, what should i do or talk to him on? truth is, i would like to see him - we are still great mates and we get along great sans the whole relationship dramas.


From a guy's perspective, ifyou are that drunken guy, what would like the girl to do or say, assuming you're calling her cos you still have feelings and misses her...?
