Check out the proportion of older men (and women, for that matter) with totally artificial looking jet-black hair. That kind of answers your question.

There will also be a difference between pressures percieved by caucasians, and other asians and local Chinese.
As an expat I feel no pressure to wear a rug. I suppose to the local population we are 'different' whatever. I think the pressure is perhaps a perceived one for men. I know succesful bald Chinese men. With women the pressures are different.
As an aside. I must say how dissapointed I was top see Jacky Chan endorsing one of these shampoos that 'cures' baldness. There are no cures for baldness, even Ro-gain does not claim this.

It's not less hair, it's more face.

Let's not forget what causes baldness - an excess of male hormones. This may explain the attraction to women in the know (think Sean Connery, Patrick Stewart, Yul Brinner etc. etc.).
On the flipside, most female impersonators have lovely (female like) heads of hair.

dont matter to me one way or the other. i do hate hairpiece (kill it! whack that animal off yer head!!) and comb-overs should only be worn if you want people to laugh AT you and not with you. some of the men i am attracted to dont have a full head of hair. i fall in love with their personality and i still do find them physically appealing.
i think that if you are hot, you would still be hot even if you lose some or all of your hair, think bruce willis, that jean-luc picard guy whats his name (patrick stewart??), ben kingsley, to name a few.
that being said, i am still looking forward to seeing johnny depp losing all his hair to prove my point, i.e. that bald guys can be hot, too. but then again he drinks the blood of unborn babies or something because how else can he stay so young looking?

Men who have hairs on their heads are always at an advantage when compared to the men who do not have. There is no doubt about it. What causes the male pattern baldness? It is absolutely due to hereditary and stress. When it comes to male baldness, generally speaking, it's genetic. Male hair loss happens because of a chemical (hormone) called Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, which builds up around the hair follicle and eventually kills both the follicle and the hair. It's the hair follicle's resistance to DHT that's genetic. If you have relatives with thin hair or who are balding, there's a pretty good chance at some point you'll experience the same male baldness or hair thinning. It is difficult to retain your hairs and you have no option but to go bald. Best way is to shave it off, it looks better than having some hairs on the sides which make you look ugly. The Caucasians do shave the head and attract all the asian women to their side...hehe.. Dont lose your optimism, try to look good by shaving your head fully. The important part is, never worry about it, it will accelerate your ageing process.

I started losing my hair in my early thirtys. It all went very quickly. My confidence and self-esteem nose-dived. I walked around for about 3 year with a big bald head. I shaved it very short, cos I find men wearing wigs looks so fake, you can spot it a mile away. And the comb-over, no-way, that would age me another 10 yrs.
I search on the net for a solution to my dylema. Then I stombled apon this youtube video https://youtu.be/kIerJf6Nhic?si=PVjhDIfPTTGf_OsI
I was blown away, couldn't believe my eyes, studied there web-site http://www.hishairclinic.com Can this be real? An impression of hair follicles with a tecnique call Scalp pigmentation. It looks so real.
There's only one way to find out. I Booked myself in for a consultation at Mong Kok, meet the practisioner, he's had the procedure done himself, but wow, it looks so real. At close inspection, it looks like hair follicles to me. There was a guy there having the procedure done, so I was able to see exactly how it's done. It was a no brainer, I booked myself in to have it done.
Guy's, if your still walking around with a bald head, but don't want to wear a wig, hat, or having a grewsome hair transplant done, then consider a MHT Scalp pigmentation. I did, 2 months ago, and I haven't looked back. I definately got back those two things that I lost during this male pattern baldness faze.
Don't just take my word for it, check it out yourself. Or if anyone in HK wants to see my results for your own eyes, I'm up for a free coffee! lol!

Lots of bald expats here in the office. Sorry baldies, a short survey of the fairer sex points to a preference for guys with a head of hair, unless they wear it like fabio and then it's a no-no.

If you're going bald it's surely better to shave it all off than do a comb over.
But InstructorJon is selling another treatment... He has revived a 2 year old thread to sell the virtues of tattooing your head so it looks like you have hair.

a true man does not relay on "accessories" like hair !
nothing is more sexy then confident !!!

Phillycheese. I think you're probably right about the straw poll. But for most guys it's a result that counts - not the average female standpoint. I think most women prefer men with hair - in much the same way most women prefer men without beards. Ergo, the ladies that do prefer bald heads or beards have less to choose from and therefore come on more to men with bald heads or beards. So basically, for most women it's a turn-off but for those weirder one at the other end of the spectrum, a bald man or a man with a beard is suddenly a 'must have' accessory.

im not at the end of the spectrum ! all im saying is that who you are is more important then how much hair you have and 2. a man can be supper sexy with shaved or bald head.
i dont choose men with bald head but it will not stop me if one come my way .
a REAL turnoff are men who have no idea what they are talking about and try to speak on behalf of women ...see above post .

Bald/shaved guys are extremely sexy in my female opinion be they Cauacasian or Asian, a few younger Chinese guys here in Shanghai are shaved and look very hot. The trick is to go completely close-shaven, those side bits on the temples look like Friar Tuck and are extremely unflattering/ageing, and try to wear it with a bit of attitude. As for the person above who's touting having scalp tattooing as a serious option, I can only imagine the dye has seeped through to the brain sending you completely, barking mad?
