carenchan, Brian is right, you would do better to post in the AX personals...I mean, what have you got to lose? Although...I am curious about how active AX is in Malayasia...
You are just as likely to be hearing the truth from the mouth of someone in a bar as you would through an e-mail. If someone is a liar, they will likely be that in all communications.
That said, unlikely that anyone will reply to this thread and say they want to meet up with you, coz well, thats not how it works...but likely that the only other option would be to frequent bars and pubs where expats hang out in KL...its how it works in most metropolitan cities, just depends on how extroverted you are when it comes to meeting new people in these sort of settings.

Thanks Justin and Brian, I agree with both of you especially what Brian has said on going to pubs and so forth. Not that I want to. I want to meet someone as friends and later see how it develops into serious relationship. I do not want to rush into things as I prefer to know that someone as my best friend. Thats the thing i am not so extrovert but i can talk...obviously you can Carene, comfortably thou.
