Being relatively new to Hong Kong, i would very much appreciate any suggestions for restaurants, or something else that would be quite special or unique to celebrate a special day here in Hong Kong!

Many thanks for any replies!

Its been a while since I have done anything of the sort, but I do recall that I quite liked Rico's up in Soho. They have a wonderful selection of tapas, a nice opportunity to eat pseudo al-fresco (big bay windows) and a tiny mariachi band that sings for its supper.

The foods pretty damn good, not too over priced and the ambiance is nice for a special night. Plus, they have been around for a long time, which says a lot in HK where restaurants open and shut like french blinds!

You are spoilt for choice in HK. U need to be a bit more specific in terms of budget, couple or group, type of food, atmosphere, location etc

A big group celebration or an intimate little gathering or a romantic two-some?

Many options depending on the type.

Naughtyatforty, its a romantic two-some! Topol, I havent thought about the budget, but something reasonable, then again if its quite special, i wouldnt mind having a splurge!

Thanks Justin for the restaurant, i'll definitely check it out!

The Verandah is nice at Repulse Bay. Try Sunday brunch if you don't have to go for a dinner. It's more affordable ~$500 a person. There's a live band at the restaurant. After brunch, you can take a walk along the beach (if it's not too hot). Many restaurants at TST can give you a nice view of the harbor. If you like to try something more exotic, you can try Al Pasha at K11 TST which is Xinjiang cuisine with belly dancers!
