"sexual satisfaction came first as the factor that cements a partnership, followed by a sense of commitment."

I never cease to be amazed by people who neglect the physical aspects of their relationship, and then wonder why it falls apart. I see a lot of them in this forum - with posting such as "we were both happy until one day I caught my partner cheating" - which is code for I was happy so long as I got what I wanted, of course he wasn't happy, but I never noticed or cared about him.

I think, and I am not an expert, that women neglect the sexual aspect of their relationship when they are not happy. I think, that most women who are happy with their partner and the relationship as a whole, are quite enthusiastic to engage in sexual activities. Women like to be desired. A woman feels more sexy and feminine when she has a man who is committed to sh*gging only her. If a woman is avoiding sex with her partner/husband, most chances are that something is quite wrong in the 'emotional' department.

My Hong Kong - Sure, women neglect the sexual aspect when they are not happy.

The problem is asymmetric happiness - the woman is happy, content, and having her sexual needs met , but due to insensitivity on her part or a difference in libido the man is not satisfied sexually. That's when men start to wander.
