I'm doing a research project on marriages in Hong Kong, and how they have evolved from the traditional chinese wedding. One of the topics is the wedding venues. Churches are quite a popular choice for the wedding ceremony, even if the couple are not religious, and I'd like get some responses on some reasons why people still do opt for a church ceremony.
If you yourself have done the church wedding ceremony, a reply would be really helpful, as well as how else you did your wedding. Thank you very much. :)

Maggie, you're going to have a problem getting married in a 200 year old church in Hong Kong. No churches were built until the Brits arrived, which was less than 200 years ago.
I think a lot of people put too much emphasis on the Wedding, and not enough on the Marriage. The Wedding is but one day, the Marriage is for the rest of your life; the marriage has to work. This forum is full of people who had the most wonderful weddings imaginable, but then their life turned to hell because they never gave any thought to what life would be like married.
