I'm just wondering about how many types of managing and spending money in a relationship and in a family.
Would you all out there want to share?

Sorry, first of all, I asked if you all would want to share your experience. And secondly yes, all the daily expenditures for both of you and kids (if any)

Ahhhh, now it makes sense. You weren't very clear to begin with.
OK on the rare occasions when I have cohabited we shared the cost of all utilities and rent. Groceries we took turns in buying. What was left over we kept.

Thank you Vulvic. Good to know that.
Do you have kind of a box where evey of you puts money in for spending or each keeps his own money?

Wildorchid - are you married or living with flatmates? Not sure why you would need a shared box for spending money.

Actually I am moving in to my b/f's apartment. we did not discuss about this issue yet and I need some inputs in order to make things clear from the very beginning, which I think will be better off.
I have a very good job at the moment but if I move to live with him in his place (we are distant for over 2 years) I will have to start searching for a job.

Thank you, dontknowwhy. It gives me some hints with your story. It's something difficult for me at the moment because I will feel not so comfortable when spending his money although as you've rightly said, this is kinda "compensation" for what you leave behind having moved out to be with him.
