My girl friend is devastated-that her BF of ONe and a half years has decided to take a break. Here goes the story- for one and half year they have been a happy couple, attended all the do`s possible together. They had their ocassional arguments which never lasted too long. However when they discussed the Marriage topic he didnt feel confident that she loved him(she is actually crazee about him n cant believe he could say that) and that he didnt feel that they were mentally compatible at all times ,due to the past arguments. He said there is nothin he doesnt like about her.He really loves her but something is holding him back, yet he doesnt want to let go.they havent spoken for 2 weeks as he hasnt called her and its killing her. What shall she do ??do u think he will come back to her for good. She cant see anything besides him in her life.!!!

If he hasn't contacted her in two weeks, that should say something. Sounds like he's not ready for any real commitment and your friend needs to accept it. Or fight for him. I'm really not a "fight for your man" kinda gal, so I can't help you there. I believe that both parties really need to want a relationship for it to work. If he doesn't think that she's the one for him, then there is nothing she can do. Best is to give him his space and see if he comes around.

If not, plenty of more fish in the sea - go fishing!!

Hi "car lover",

You're right. I'm curious - seemed to be mostly calm and sensible from other threats that I'd read from your responses. What's your story. I'm new in this website.

When he said he doesn't think she loves him enough, it was an attempt at hiding the truth: He doesn't think he loves her enough.

And now maybe he's taking steps toward the end of the relationship.
