Just read a lovely poem on it. Thought will share with all of you and get your comments on it too!

What is love?

No words can define it-

It is something so great,

Only God could design it...

It's ever enduring and patient,

and kind-

It judges all things with the heart,

Not the mind.

i saw bits and pieces of "in her shoes" the other day, and one character read to another this wonderful ee cummings poem:

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in

my heart)i am never without it(anywhere

i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing,my darling)

i fear

no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want

no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)

and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows

higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

A friend of mine downloaded a song for his wife and told that when he heard it, he immediately thought of her and it was the truest sentiment he had ever heard in a song.

Ben Folds Lyrics

The Luckiest

I don't get many things right the first time

In fact, I am told that a lot

Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls

Brought me here

And where was I before the day

That I first saw your lovely face?

Now I see it everyday

And I know

That I am

I am

I am

The luckiest

What if I'd been born fifty years before you

In a house on a street where you lived?

Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike

Would I know?

And in a white sea of eyes

I see one pair that I recognize

And I know

That I am

I am

I am

The luckiest

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you

Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties

And one day passed away in his sleep

And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days

And passed away

I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong

That I know

That I am

I am

I am

The luckiest

zonked, if you do a search you'll see that the question 'what is love' has already been posed - and the meaning revealed ad nauseum - in previous posts.

It's sad to think love doesn't seem to come my way... even though I believe what love is...
