Am I dreaming ???

Hi Everyone..

Ok well im a late 20's caucasion expat, here in HK for the long run. I am financially secure, have lots of friends, interesting, reasonably good looking guy (so i'm told!) and intelligent, but you know, for various reasons I have decided on "saving myself for marriage" and it makes dating just about impossible.. I don't expect people to understand or agree with me on this topic, but just curious, how many people here know of anyone in the same situation (and if these woman exist - where are they??) Any suggestions ??

headfirst, I know a few of these women actually, they are all in their early 30s (not saying there are none in their late teens or early 20's) and still waiting for that one Mr. Right to come along, they are usually the shy, not very talkative, looks rather plain, standing in a corner hanging out with a group of their friends/colleagues maybe in a bar of cafe.. in other words, you are not going to find them fraternizing in bars, clubs, karaokes, getting drunk and leaning on any guy that pass them by.. as flashback says, obvious place would be a church of sort.


just my $0.02, you may be waiting for a long time to find that one right one that is still a pure, it's really all about timing, right place, right time, right chemistry.. you never know, don't let one slip by just because she dated losers in the past and is not a virgin.

I agree with you 100%.

I'm not limiting myself to virgins, infact, all the girls i have dated have not been.. I'm a very normal person, and far from perfect so I don't expect her to be, either! I'm interested to know Furor, if these friends of yours are making their decisions for religious or other reasons ?? Although I have some beliefs, I don't attend church and that is not my primary reason for making this (difficult) lifestyle choice - perhaps I should consider it. Guess I just wanted to know there are great, normal people in the same (small) boat as myself...

well long story short, it's kinda ironic, these friends are all friends since child hood, all girls school, traditional old fashioned chinese parents "one shall not indulge in the pleasure of the flesh prior to marriage, as doing so will...." eh you get the picture..


all walks of life or should I say faith? led them to where they are today I guess... /shrugs
