Hi JC,
My partner and I tend to have one time at my place then one time at hers.

I just leave half of my stuff in his place so that every time when I travel to the country / city he's staying, I don't have to carry so much things with me. But he has then to move all my stuff with him when he moves to other places:))

The whole 'living out of a backpack' can be exhausting. I did that for 2 yrs with one b/f. Always ended up at his place because he had more space. In the end I looked like a bag lady as I had to cart so much stuff around with me: gym kit, clean clothes, toiletries etc..
The trick is to make your place comfortable and inviting so that they don't want to leave, lol.

one hour!!! He must be good!
Well I now refuse to treck anywhere with a backpack. The mountain must come to mohammed, so to speak.

Always happens at my place. Would feel weird the other way around.
Interesting... might try as an experience.

Hmmmm, can't you persuade him to live in town? That said, living out in the rural areas can be very peaceful. It may signal a change of lifestyle.
Personally, I will stay in the Valley surrounded by my friends and favourite eating places.

I would say, depends how far you are from eachother and which home is the most confortable or who has to travel the most to go to work the next day.
In the end, one of the house becomes the love nest. Don't you think.

Well considering that my now b/lives in Aus, I will go a hella long way for some lovin'. I did dat ea guy once who lived in a small town 35 miles from mine and I left a bag there with clothes and the daily things I needed as I spent way more time there than at home.

It feels like I am responding to 2 threads here - the love addict and this one!
It seems that where I live is like a mental block for everyone... they think it's too far. (How can a 20 minute boat ride be too far??)
Anyway, I have found that it is always me that travels to see people. Even when I go back to the UK all I do is drive around visiting friends and relations at their place... thinking about it maybe I just meet people who are all home bodies... maybe I am just 'suffered' rather than enjoyed and thought of as a real entity worth visiting!! That last thought (if believed) would be a real downer - no, I shall just believe the first one.... though it would be nice to be visited occasionally or have someone who didn't mind coming over here occasionally!! Where men are concerned I found they prefer their living space and were too bloody lazy to trek out here... and with so many experiences of this happening I had made a generlisation that all men were like that!

Here bloody here!!
:)
The annoying thing is I still love 'em tho'!

>lamasita: men were too bloody lazy tro trek out to your island or they were afraid to be locked up by you there? (hehe!)

Ha! Very funny Orchid - wild as you are!!
You don't need to lock your doors on this peaceful little island.... honestly? I have no idea why they are like this it is purely an observation made from 9 years living here and one that I really don't mind as I then have it all to myself (and my animals!!):D

ha! i did not mean literally "locking" doors! They might be afraid of you squeezing them out there and they could not run away from you!hahaha!

As a man I often feel I am invading the woman's space if I visit to often. And as I believe I am no good at reading signals I will ere on the side of caution.
Where as my door is always open and I always feel confident in my ability to ask someone to leave if it were needed.
Dumb, over sensitive, unequal, but then I am a dumb bloke. It is nothing to do with laziness.

Im with you Ultra, my insomnia has been with me for 3 years now off and on...off and on....lol....more on that off...lol.... People who havent suffered with it dont quite get it when you say you need your bed, cos you know full well its often worse when you stay elsewhere!

When there IS a guy to go see, it's Almost always HIS place as I have two lieblings at home who can stay by themselves but would, ah, ruin the mood a bit!
