Got to know this guy over a dating website and went out once and had an enjoyable chat over coffee... During the chat, he told of his heavy work commitment as well as having to cope with his part-time studies.
He left a good impression and would like to keep in contact with him... hence sent him SMSes. He would take quite a while to reply, explaining his being tied down by work & studies, hence the late responses. After a few days, he would send SMSes to assure that I am not forgotten despite lack of conversations.
Just early last week, sent him an SMS to ask him out & he suggested the weekend that just passed but would confirm again. Nothing came through because in his SMS, he explained of his very tight schedule at work & having to cope with his coming examinations.
Have not much doubt about his workload & studies commitment but is he interested after all? Maybe not, else wouldn't give "excuses"? What do you think?

ouch...sorry Arev but aspect is probably right. if he told you from Date 1 that he's really busy with work and study, and takes forever to answer your SMSs, he was already saying "nice to meet you but i'm not going to date you."
it's the first thing i say when i meet someone new and i know i won't go out with them again ("i'm so busy, my work schedule is very intense, i travel a lot, blah blah blah"). conversely when i like someone, believe me my schedule will magically open up to accommodate them.

He's a busy man Arev, and just trying to be nice. But I doubt if he's interested. Best to move on.

A lot of what a message really means is as much in what is NOT said as what is. Unless the guy asks you out, you can safely take it that he's not interested. Move on and don't waste your time.
