Another disaster?

Not sure what you should do Lisa...i guess you have tried living there and didnt like it and you've tried staying here and dont like that! MMM tricky one. The problem you seem to have is that even though you chose to leave him there you didnt actually move on when you got back. if you had gone out and enjoyed yourself then perhaps you wouldnt be missing him so much now. You could give it another go in the US providing you are willing to work harder to like it there. Whatever you decide to do needs to be 100% you need to get your head totally into it and tell yourself 'i have decided to do this and I will make it work' otherwise your just going to carry on like this until whenever ...in the end your the one whose going to get stung as he's not going to hold on for ever. havent you discussed him actually coming back here? isnt there anyway he can? If you really want to be together then it has to be solved one way or the other and to be honest this is something that only you can decide. Leaving everything here is no big deal really as yes you can always return...you know what its like nothing changes at home...home is always in a time warp

get him to come here and marry you then go with him. This way you'll see that he's totally commited and you can both stop all this bullcrap

yeh but JC, theres pros and cons with divorce mate...if hes got cash and you split at least you get some. If your not married you get nothing. I stayed with my first love for 12 years we split and i was skint and he was happy as a larry. It made the break up even worse! LOL

mmm i know your right JC i guess the fact that i'd never felt the pain of the big D made me bitter that everything i'd put into our love nest was lost. Im sure i would have gone insane if i'd had to get through a divorce too and knowing my luck if we had have been married then it would have been me paying out cash! LOL x
