So Over Him....

Morning, since I, for some unknown reasons had been banned, I can't reuse my old handle "Blood Diamond"..... sigh. From Diamond to a Fish.:-)

Isn't it funny how a person that you thought you were so in love with could suddenly make one wrong move, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back? You wake up the next day and think "Gosh, I am so over him!" This guy wasn't my boyfriend but we dated a couple of times. He seemed older (he is more than a decade older), worldier, smarter, and all I had wanted in a guy

Then you look back at his actions one day, and realise that there are so many things about him you dislike and that you will never be happy with a man who is so unreliable, who wallows in his sorrows, who's a coward, and so on

So people, tell me, how is it that when we think we are in love, we are so goddamn blinded to all their faults????

Is there a way to remain objective and sane when our hearts are beating 500 miles per hour for this person???

when you rush in you get a hit of 'crazy in love' but inevitably crash when you realise you dont actually know the person you 'love' all that well. your feelings of love have been smothered by an equally strong reaction of 'who the f*** is this guy again?' eeeeek! run!

maybe all you need is some time out? take things slower next time, then you wont freak out when you wake up next to him! damn, i bet you just wanted to click her heels three times and disappear! admit it...it was the old man nasal hair that made you wanna bolt, right?! lol!

waka, its not the nasal hair...LOL!

don't know why, I know his middle name :-)

thanks for the response people. To elucidate, I wasn't expecting him to be perfect. I was willing to overlook the fact that he has a lot of emotional baggage - including an ex, trying a little too hard to be cool, makes sudden dissapearances and makes last minute cancellations....all these I was blind to initially....

I think its now an empty tin cup....like I said, the straw that broke the camel's back. After yet another last minute cancellation, it totally killed what remnants of feelings I had for this person. I hope (for my sake), it remains that way - FOREVER!

liked your comments, Flash :-)

I guess some people view "alone" as a negative & pathetic word. Most of these people find comfort and security only as a "couple", which says a lot about their sense of self-confidence. Basically, being a "couple" is great, but like you said, only with the right one. Other than that, I'll take "alone", thank you very much....:-)
