Perhaps navel gazing is not a good idea and it can be self-defeating. Why not just accept the fact that the vast majority of men are stupid, philandering, emotionally-inept and useless? You will then be pleasantly surprised when you meet someone who isn't all of the above. And let's face facts, men aren't bitchy.

Are dishonest, ugly, dirty old men really that bad? Do you really want somebody from a boyband? In biological terms, men are just there to scramble DNA to protect humans from disease. I can't understand why women have such high expectations. If you are looking for woman on woman relationship that's fine. However, if not, I think getting together as some kind of emotional release is ultimately futile. Treat your next boyfriend like some dumb barnyard animal. Take him out to graze when he wants to graze, pat him on the head. If you understand his routines, weaknesses and foibles, you can save yourself a lot of stress and plan for the future.
