I've had enough and im sure the only way to recover is to make a drastic change.

My best mate Lammasita left for Singapore before i had made this decision....so i wont see her face to face to tell her i love her and goodbye...sob sob

i know your right China doll in some ways...but sadly i have made myself sick with all this too mate. I have IBS and in times of stress normal people shove crap down their throats to feel better....well i keep doing this and dont sleep, get more stressed, end up smoking sh*t loads and am worse off. I run to mum cos she is the only person who wont allow me to do this sh*t and then i have some chance of recovery! Get it! LOL.....

Agree, go home and get some TLC. When you are feeling right in yourself, you can re-asess your situation.

This is what I love about Hong Kong (there are lots of things I don't like!) but reading this thread has shown me just how supportive friends whether they be virtual or tangible are. I hope Dorris got lots of warmth from these messages to her. I will miss her, but I've been here 9 years and I know just how bloomin lonely it gets. I do feel sad Dorris couldn't stick it out - it makes you realise how strong you are! It's a shame she didn't see your support as a cushion for survival out here, I think it may have made it harder to leave.

I have come to the conclusion that friends in an expat environment become your 'external' family, they listen, advise and generally pick you up when you're down. At home friends don't do that so much because you have your real family to fall back on. I'm just a little sad Dorris didn't see this. Ah well, I just hope she is happier at home....

thank you for being such lovely people!!

:) BTW don't worry 'bout me, I'm a hardened cynic who manages to pull through bloody anything!! :D

Absolutely!!

Tried a thread about that earlier, but it was pulled as quick as anything!!

Dorris may be back in Jan.... could have another New Year party to try and follow up on all those New Years resolutions that were broken by the 2nd of Jan!!! Ooh! and I'll be celebrating a double digit of a birthday!! Maybe 2006 year will be better for me??......hmmm

A double digit birthday, as in 22 or 33, or as in you are no longer 9 but now 10? ;-) (joking).

There are always reasons for a get together. We should arrange something in the New Year. Welcome in the year of the dog with all the biatches getting together. ;-) hee hee.
