am ( male) coming to HK shortly ( on Tourist Visa) to spend three months with GF to ensure we are making the right decision and all going well will marry early next year.

can anyone advise what requirements I need to fulfill to gain residency in HK-e.g. do I get auto residency after marriage?. plan is to start a business in HK after marriage but want to protect financial assets in Australia at same time. anyone know if I am required to bring all or part of my asset pool to HK as a show of commitment to business ( no problem with commitment to relationship!)
