Um..I should not generalise asian and western relationship and culture.

i think if you keep reasonable expectations, does not limit your choice to only white skin then you will have plenty of choice...

there are lot of good men around, but they are put off by shallow mentality of HK girls.. and in that good girls also lose... and in the end what happens is the image which you described in your original post

Then I guess men also put off by unpleasant experience with small group of HK girls and it is also sort of generalisation.
I am for sure not all hk girls are superficial.

no, but my experience is that the good girls aren't interested in non-chinese men and want to marry traditionally to a chinese man, and the gold diggers are just looking for money.

yes, you may be right. it is self selection bias.
Good women are mostly likely to be taken by local men.
