Living in Shenzhen

My wife and I got married in February this year. I now want to find out what I should do to live with her in Shenzhen. I am working in HK, but I am willing to travel to and from work daily, as long as we can live together as a normal married couple. I shall apply again for a multiple entry visa as soon as my extension of stay is approved, but travelling regularly between HK and Shenzhen, as I have done up to now, quickly eats up my passport pages. I am looking to get a more permanent type of document to enable me crossing the border. Any advice, please?

If you live with her in Shenzhen, won't you be liable for mainland Chinese tax? If you are a HK permanent resident (who is a not a Chinese national), you can get a 3-year visa.

Sorry, I guess I should have given a little more information. I am a temporary resident of HK, due to having a work visa which is in the process of being extended until 2014. I live in HK, but I would like to live with my wife in Shenzhen. She is a mainland citizen - not HK.

You are eligible for a "family" visa which is a 12 month multi entry. You says about passport pages, this visa takes up a whole page but as I said it is valid for 12 month
