I am so duh i cant figure out how to stop getting myself hurt by these 6 month few month flings.i feel its love and then bang its over.its hurting and i cant figure why.my friends are sick of advising me and im sick of reading its called a break up because its broken!!as nothing is seeping in .i have never dated in hk always long distance as in hk there aint no real cool down to earth men .why me ?o lord where are you ??

hk is very unreal.Men are equally materialistic if they look like BRAD PITT !!I wish there were some fun people or groups where we could hang and meet new people.Like they do have in NYC.Anyone english speaking interested in forming a group to hang do movies dinner etc?

I dont think I want ,I need is my attitude.All Im saying is I have given it a fair chance and it aint working.You probably are right on most of the stuff above.But believe me people only whinge when the really have reached their limits!!I am positive and would like to believe in the best ,give it my best shot everytime.Put in effort but when you have been let down so often its kinda frustrating.I would not be here otherwise.

Cym - what are you doing to meet people in HK. Please don't tell me you base your opinions of the calibre of men based on the bar scene here.
My advice would be to join a group or class and meet people that way. Join a hiking group or salse class, learn to speak mandarin or cook asian cuisine. Whatever floats your boat.
I'll tell you something for free, you won't attract anyone with the attitude you have right now.

Once I went out (group setting) with a friend's 19 year old daughter when the conversation got going about wheter this guy was hitting on her, I made the comment that ALL the men want to sleep with her. She asked me if it included me and my response was.....yes. I explained that the question is not wheter I want to sleep with her but rather "what keeps me for wanting to sleep with her".
ALL MEN ARE DOGS. They ALL want to sleep with any all all halfway decent looking women. All together? Even better. Why don't we? A partial list in no particular order:
Don't want to risk our spouse finding out and losing a good thing.
Don't want to hurt the feelings of our spouses.
Don't want our friend saying "you slept with her????"
Don't want potential women saying "if the only person you can sleep with is her, and I'm so much better than her, you don't deserve to sleep with me", and yes girls admit it, you DO think that.
You're my friend's daughter and I would not want to risk my friendship with my friend.
No I coun't live with myself, you are young and your first (or first few) times, should be someone who really cares about you.
So yes MJC, ALL men would cheat. What you are looking for is a man who think that you are important enough not risk losing you. You also want a man who have the enough moral and ethics not to let his horniess overcome his sense of right and wrong. It' Ying and Yang.

yeah heard you all loud and clear.In a world where there they say tough times dont last ,tough ones do!!I need to build me confidence and spruce up my act.Im a nice soull but been battered around bit.SO was a bit lost .But riding solo is good for now.It cleans up the sh*t!!Thanks,Im taking a mini break and heding back home for a week to re juvenate with the folks !!Cu
