My wedding date is set – now what?

Help! I’m getting married next August and I don’t have my invitations picked out yet. But since it’s summertime and people plan their vacations early, I’m afraid that there will be scheduling conflicts if I don’t get busy. Should I send out “save the date” cards?

There are lots of sites on the internet that sell wedding invitations now, but some are better than others. My cousin used a company called http://www.monogramwedding.com/ and was really happy with her invitations and response cards. You might give them a try.

Hi Robertjack

There will always be scheduling conflicts, and so there is no need to panic.

Before you can send out any pre-warning, you need to have decided on your guest list. You cannot un-invite folks afterwards.

If you have room for a hundred, then by all means contact your first hundred and ask them to keep their diaries clear if the can, and that invites will follow shortly.

You can then selct the cards you want send out the invites in a little while. You will get some people not able to attend, and then you can add others to the list.

Hi, you should have sufficient time to plan. I have found a useful website to ease your concern at http://www.princessprints.com/wedding_timeline.htm for a wedding invitation timeline.

Good luck on your wedding planning.
