Think it was more the "lust" when we're younger. Realized that Love is an illusion, now that we're older and wiser.

I don't think it's difficult to fall in love, but difficult to find someone whom you can love.
As we're older, we know more and more what we want, and perhaps therefore, we tend to not want to compromise.
When you are willing to compromise, the other party does not, although they want you too.

Maybe sometimes when the people get older, they belive their experience too much. I think it's ok to take a risk to try again as even though you spreate, you have a good time already, right?

Yes, it is definitely true that as you grow older your expectations increase, as you know exactly what you want in life and in a relationship, and the ability to compromise reduces.
But then being too rational isn't love either....

In my opinion, in some degree, to love someone means to admire him/her because of his/her highlights. But when we are getting older and older, we know more and more about the world, and it seems new of people can be admired by us, in other word, attract us!
