I have just been reading recent additions to Ayumi's thread, and some have begun talking about the smell of men and women, clothing, and perfume. So, just how important is a well perfumed man or woman to everyone?? Or do we just prefer the good old smell of soap on the skin??

The first sign that a guy is overeager during the first date is how he has overdosed on the cologne.

Nice one, Daddy Long Legs - go for it! Why not? As a woman, I like some men's colognes too. Maybe our nostrils don't have a gender. Or maybe we enjoy the aromas because they evoke good memories..?

Thames,

I totally agree with you. Sometimes male cologne smells are so much more appealing than female perfumes. It's true, they do bring back good memories. It's strange how sometimes a man's cologne smell can trigger you to think of sex, or even feel sexier.

anyone agree? Or now am I weird too??? :-)

I don't like men with heavy musky scents or scents that are heavily sexual. I think of them as trying too hard. No offence Aijin but I'd also stay away from men who are attracted to the smell of a whorehouse... if they're looking for a whore, sorry that ain't going to be moi. In general, I prefer two types of scents- something fresh/athletic or urban/sophisticated. Maybe that's related to the kind of personalities I'm drawn to.
