I guess I am taking too much and giving so little so my heart is not at peace and get bored.

Everyday you walked pass many people, meeting people, but somehow finding the right one you want to hang out, or have a drink and a chat is just NOT easy.
But then compare to a lot of people, we are a lot luckier than them, at least we still have a job, enjoy freedom and able to select your life...some people even do not know what they will have for tomorrow.

How can you be bored when there's this forum to read and giggle and occasionally respond to??
I think that this time of year highlights not so much boredom as something missing... like a small hole (I'm sounding rude but not meaning to!) but life changes as do our expectations of what certain holidays bring and I suppose we have to adapt.
For me, for example, Christmas meant 'family', now being in HK I realise it means much more to be with friends... so instead of me missing my family, I have turned it round to enjoying being with friends!!
I would love the old traditional Christmas' where my brothers torment me to the point of tears and I get told off for unwrapping the presents too slowly (I like to keep the paper!!) and the feeling of serious over-indulgence.... but now I think I will enjoy those times all the more when they don't happen every year.
Anyway, I hope it was a good one for you. Forget the feelings of boredom, they're not helpful!
Have a great New Year, let's hope 2006 is a great one for us all!
xx (kisses for you all under that mistletoe!)

Agree Lammasita. Christmas in HK is definately about friends.
We had a great Christmas weekend with 16 of us to lunch on Christmas day. Beautiful sunny weather, couple of bottles (or should I say cases) of wine and fantastic food.
Luckily we have a few booze free days to recover before we do it all over again for New Years.

Not much! Like you, on X'mas eve, I met some friends for food and (a lot of) drinks, hit one of the clubs in Wanchai for a little dance and responded to the call of my bed till late the next day. I remained indoor through the rest.
Presently in the office too and, damn, it's boring and tiring :).
