Need some advice please.

We've been married for more than a decade. Ups and downs on the marriage, now wife asking for divorce and she have signed the letter and asking me to sign as well. she mentioned, no need to go through a lawyer as it will be costly. and after I signed, it will take 6 months for the whole process.

need some advice, on the alimony payments, finance. If I sign, will I be in a deepsh*t financially going through this process. Thank you.

take a lawyer to at least look at the paper she put to you. lawyer will advise a formal court proceeding (so he makes more money) but you can ignore him if you can judge independently

if you agree to move on , just sign the C2 form.

You need to go full court press and defend yourself. How do you know this money isn't being channeled to some other guy and shes hasn't been intimate with the bloke behind your back.

Getting legal advise would be judicious. It doesn't have to be expensive, to have at least one consultation....

Definitely get legal advice, if she hinted that she didn't want a lawyer involved ('too costly' is just an excuse), then there may be another reason. Getting a lawyer will cost you more now, but it'll pay off in the end. Besides, how much is peace of mind worth?
