I met him in the summer through work (we do same job but in different organisations) and became friends. We went out from time to time, for movies, dinner, drinks and had a great time. But I was never sure if he really felt for me or just liked me as a a buddy, espeically because he has a lot of friends. Five months later, I decided to move back home to take a job there and be with my family. It was not until the last moment when I was about to leave that we found that actually we liked each other. Now I am back home but can't help thinking of him. I know I want him, but have no idea on what to do to make the long-distance relationship work. Shall I just forget about him?

Give it a shot, if he is agreeable with the arrangements. U'll never know the outcome if you dont try rite? That's my thought. I'm quite a romantic at heart so..I'll say follow ur heart.

His feelings for you will lead him to contact you. He seems to be a popular guy. Long distance friendship/relationship is difficult to sustain. A case of out of sight, out of mind. unless the relationship is very strong and you have been together for years. Deal with your yearnings and get over it. Keep busy and be happy.

thanks. i will just keep in touch with him as a friend.

I totally agree - we were in a long-distance relationship for a year before I moved to HK to be with my now husband... when we met we were living in different countries and had no foundations to build on - it wasn't easy and it was very expensive - but totally worth it
if you're really into each other, what have you got to lose?

ps - being "friends" meant that you danced around each other for 5 months and missed out on some time that you could have been building your relationship (although I'm sure the friendship has helped it along a lot) - but why not have a conversation with him about whether he's willing to develop the relationship rather than wasting any more time as friends and wondering how he's feeling?

i want the relationship to develop in a loose way - just keep thinking of each other, but only seeing each once in a while ... because my job is very demanding and i care about new career a lot - but i will be upset if he find someone else - i know i sound like a selfish teenager... :(

actually, i have other options at same time... but he is the one I really feel for at the moment. what can I do? go out with other guys?

long distance relationship NEVER works. It's just against human nature. let alone you did not have a very solid love relationship before being apart. either try get together or give up on it, if you do not like to suffer.

i could suggest him to move here, but i dont want to hold him back and suggest him to do anything for me. it is too early to ask for commitment and even I am a bit scared

P.S. i mean he likes to move around and seek new challenges.
