I've been seeing this guy for a while. Things were going really well. I was beginning to think this could be sth that leads to a LTR or even marriage when something rather odd happened.
there's this young girl who recently lost both her parents. very sad, very tragic. so he helped her financially which is a noble deed. even if he did it without telling me. (he told me two months later) then she started to send him tons of messages like "you are such a great man", "what do i do without you", "you are the only one i have in the world", etc. since then i've been on high alert.
last friday he asked me what i thought of her. What do i think of her? I think she should stop sending you all those messages. it's getting on my nerve. that's exactly what i would've told him if i got balls. he called me cold blooded since i failed to produce a fake sympathy nor could i tell him what's on my mind.
now i don't know what to do. i mean, naturally i would have dumped him but i really like him. what's more important, am i cold blooded? was my reaction normal? or was he right?

who is this "young girl"? a colleague of his? a mutual friend of yours (you and your guy)? how did the info that he had helped her financially come up two months later? just trying to understand the context.

Justin Credible, u r incredible. why couldn't i come up with that?! thx :)
to voiceofreason
i can't tell you how he met her bcos i don't know (you think i should find out?). i was a little preoccupied with her messages. i knew about him supporting her because he told me so, and i trust him. why he told me two month later? i don't know...

you are on "high alert" because your gut tells you something might be up, and it's because you don't know the all the facts.
i assume you told him that you thought what he did was a noble deed. but before you either argue or apologize, why don't you try to fill in the blanks that are clearly preoccupying you? get the facts first before reacting.

u r right, i didn't like him doing things behind my back. but he did tell me in the end, for whatever reason.
reckon i should ask him to keep me all up to date?

to JC, u know how i feel.
the fact that i didn't want to confront him was because he did sth good. he helped others. i should encourage this kind of actions. am afraid that if i go into arguement with him, he might take it wrongly.

jc,
"Sharing and caring, be it information, trust, love or money...is a privelage, not a right. "
don't you think honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
i mean, if the dude did nothing wrong, why should he feel the need to hide anything?
it just smeels fishy.....

Well i dont kow if i'd believe him! Sorry to be cynical but tis so easy for a guy to come out with something like this...ahhhh
Yes he probably helped her out financially, but have you met this young girl? ooops yes im bitter and twisted and should say nothing further...go for JC's approach and then see what happens from there

yeh im with yah JC 100% but the cynic in me says that perhaps he is lying...sorry ...
my ex told me he was in contact with a couple of girls because he had 'helped them out' in the past. It wasnt until after we'd finshed that i find out the only helping out he had been doing was in the sack! LOL... Like i said im just a cynic! sorry
