Just want to know if a man was late for an hour for a date with a gal. Do you think if the man has got the love feeling with the gal ?
Hey guys, what is your opinion ?

It would totally depend on the situation.
Did he call to say he would be late?
Why was he late?
Was he truly sorry he was late?
Was this the first date or are you in a serious relationship?
I am a STICKLER for people being on time. If someone was an hour late, I would be angry and demand a very good explanation. If my boyfriend was an hour late, I would not assume he did not love me, but that something had happened. I would expect some sort of contact, either phone or SMS, to tell me that he would be that late though.

I love these threads! They give no information whatsoever and yet demand the opinions of complete strangers.
I am waiting for the day when someone starts the 'Does My Bum Look Big In This' thread!

thanks tutti. I think the same.. I think he just didnt want to reject me.. but really wanted to meet me..

Sorry.. the last sentence should be " but not really wanted to meet me ..

I still think that it's rude to be an hour late for anyone, even if he didn't really want to meet you, he should still have turned up on time and could have made the meeting shorter.

So I think we can all conclude that he has 'lost that lovin' feeling'.

so lets get this straight - a guy is late - probably on one occasion - for an hour.
All replies here say it is disrespectful to be late.
All the girls I have ever dated have always been late. does this mean all girls are disrespectful to their boyfriends?
and before replying think about the last time you were ON TIME!

well all my friends always late for an hour even it's a girl's date.
I found there is one thing always happen in Hong kong, whenever you hear a couple talking or a group of girls talking, they always "COMPLAIN"!!
I really dunno why, give peace a chance.

If it was the first date, he could have been nervous and changed his clothes ten times or had a haircut that took too long. Lots of things might have caused it - but, in the name of all that is sane, why didn't you ask him why he was late. Didn't he say, 'Sorry I'm late but ...'?

In my opinion, regardless whether it was the first or tenth date, that would be the last one. I have never waited for anyone. If I was supposed to be picked up at 8 I would be on my way out by 8:10 unless I got a phone call. You'd better make sure whoever goes out with you gives you the respect you deserve.

Gotta give a little to get a little. Cut him some slack if you want him to cut you some slack. It all depends on what kind of relationship you want. If you want to be a btch, Expect him to be an ahole.

sayuri, did you ever find out why he was an hour late?

I second Herr JC and Nemesis...
And added to that outside of 15 minutes people have no excuse to be later than that in HK as everything is so damned close together....and everyone has a phone....
It is rude, ignorant and unjustifiable behaviour...

The reason was unacceptable.. and that was our third date.. He looked smart and me looked good too. So perhaps he just found that I was not his type and he already got another better dates.. God knows ! So I conclude that he has not been not interested in me any longer. And me, start to have some other dates too !
