When someone (just a friend, a closer friend before) did not answer your emails, SMS, and so on for a a week...what does it mean?...he do not want to have talk to you? he did not receive the messages? nor he simply want to ignore you?
Will you ask them why? or oretend nothing has happened and call after a while and say hi again?
Think most of your will say move on and ignore him but i just think some people are just simply rude.

I would give the person space. Many possibilities:-
1) Overwhelmed by numerous individuals seeking attention and immediate response, work-related and non work-related. This is worse when coupled with personal problems
2) He/she finds you annoying, even though he likes you as a friend-so yes not in the mood to talk or reply sms
3)He thinks you are interested in him and would like to tell you otherwise. Not getting the message and inundating him with more smses like "why didn't you reply my sms/email" or smses/emails which are attention seeking would only irritate him more.

it's ok. I know some people like to have "slient Treatment" just like you other thread say. They will call you once in a blue moon, as that when they wanna get laid...you cannot have too much respect on people somehow.

If I am annoyed with someone, I will sometimes take time answering them...if it is nothing important. If they SMS me, I will try to respond in some way.
Usually, if I do not respond, I am flat out busy and do not have the time and will explain that when I do have proper time to send proper information.

Sometime SMS might not be reachable, but email should be fine? I think people sometime just properly want to ignore.

Some update: I did try to text again to my friend and ask him how he is ...and nothing again...no sign nor any feedback...people just like to vapourise, just no reasons and nothing... I do not really know why it happens to me .... at least if he or I have an issue, it would be nice to let me know.
to be honest,now i am feeling like an idiot.

Sorry to hear that you still havent go a response from hime. Silent treatment, gosh we girls just cant stand them!!
Had a similar treatment once by a very close friend, but thank God we sorted it out. So know how u feel. Apparently soem guys will give you the silent treament if they dont want to go on with the relationship, or want a bit of space yes... no kidding. Why dont they tell you, cause they're chicken at heart. Dont want to offend you nor hear your reasosn pleading....Heard it from the horses mouth. So maybe he's telling you the same. I would forget him, go out get your mind off him. Good luck...

Yeah, I think he just want to ignore me, but i am not sure the reason why as i do not see him a lot anyway. Most of the time is a text to say hello and an update of what he is doing. Well i really not sure why people can just ignore people this way. and i also had experienced this a few times. It just feel like a relatives or good friend just died suddenly, and out of your life. ni sign, no reason.
Now feel like a total idiot and a looser. There is nothing i can do except leave that alone, treat he death or something.

I think people have different priorities and I am definitely on the bottom of the list.
My friend finally told me that he was busy so no time to reply anything. Well at least he make an effort to make an excuse. not that bad.

Actually, you know this person more than any of us. What do you, think, funnyhaha?
I hardly ever ignore my close friends or lovers. Even if I am too busy, I'd follow-up by the end of the day. Or in extreme cases, where I forgot to reply an sms, I'd call the friend up as soon as I realise.
The persons I've deliberately ignored are persistent, annoying suitors who dont understand "no" in a nice way. Yes they know I'm not interested, but just because I am still nice to them as friend, they think they have a chance.
I dont want to be rude as ask them to take a hike,or slap them, so I usually ignore 10-20 smses and reply 1 out of courtesy.
Usually these smses sound
1) Attention seeking/needy/mushy-missing you, thinking of you before you sleep, dirty jokes which makes you shudder when you think of the sender etc
2) Possesive-why no reply to my sms? Are you so busy? Are you alive?

Yes, balzac correct...I agree...and in fact constant and unheeded messaging is really irritating, and when it gets worse it is bad - especially when people sms at all hours without any regard
Barrabas - what nemesis wrote is a saying and it means basically if you ignore me once you are being rude, but if it goes beyond that there is a reason.....besides some people REALLY are too busy to answer messages, they have to prioritise, and it is extremely irritating to have a constant stream of meaningless messages from a person....of course what is constant, and meaningless is subjective...but there we have it....

First is the Valentine's Card, he did not pick up, then 2 valentines SMS greetings ..2 other hi sms on friday. Until sunday he wrote back in the morning. Last night he sent me another text say he was busy lately and sorry not in touch. I thought he was stressed and busy and he have no time for "hi" greetings and especially Valentine's greetings, he probably want to ignore it.

well conversation can flow through when meeting the right person, but somehow is more and more difficult to find the right person to talk, or somehow not bother.

the first valentine is a greetings and the second is just wish he had a nice day cos we were suppose to meet that day for an event. There is always something behind before you bombard a person, and you do ont need me to post the SMS right?
