how soon a joint application of divorce be finalize in HK

Both are Filipino and living in HK as a HK Resident and dependant..They are separated for years now.. They dont have joint assets and properties and they dont have kids.... They are doing the divorce processing on their own without the help of a lawyer... Im wondering if both party agreed, how long before the court grant them the " divorce absolute"? The guy has his new girlfriend pregnant already...


and is it ok to marry someone again as soon as possible once the divorce is finalized?

It took me 6 weeks flat. No lawyer, no assets, no kids. HK$1500. Ten years ago.

Do you have any idea why it took you just 6 weeks? i have asked around and they said 6-9 months. .. They are really in a hurry to have their divorce be finalize....

I guess you will have to wait for him to get divorced and in the mean time you will be a single mother

In the HK birth certificate it has a space for name of father. No where does it state whether the couple were married at the time of birth or not.
