I need the advice of a divorce lawyer. Can someone refer a competent lawyer to me. Since fees will be an issue, someone very reasonable and understanding would be best.
I am trying to invalidate the marriage of my teenage daughter who appears to have returned to HK and married someone who remains married in India. He can't return to India because of pending criminal proceedings so he remains here under the protection of the UNHCR refugee status. I thought HK Immigration would have been effective, but that has not been my experience. He and his friends continue to work in violation of Immigration law on Nathan Road and surrounding shops.
A referral would be appreciated. I need to know if the marriage is void or voidable and what steps can be immediately taken.

Pretty sure bigamy is against the law in HK. Shouldn't be too difficult to annul.

They are good, cost a very reasonable fee (in lawyer terms) and very professional.
Good luck. And hey, if your daughters new hubby is indeed a bigamist the marriage is easily annulled. Basically when applying for a marriage license here in HK you have to swear you have not been married previously etc...and if you say "no" its considered purjury if you are infact already married and you can be stuck in the pen.
So yeah, good luck on sorting this out.
