Hi all. I need some help and advice on my situation please. I am a HK resident and I have recently been told by my employer that I may have a career advancement by relocating to Macau. My problem is that I have a criminal record in hong kong (assault causing bodily harm). It happened couple months ago where I ended up in a fight with a taxi driver. In short, I pleaded guilty and recorded a criminal record with a fine.
If i were to relocate and work in Macau, would i still be able to get pass the immigration to obtain the working visa in Macau? If not, would they state the reason why it declined to my employer? (the thing here is that, I did not inform my current employer that i have been convicted of a criminal record). What other issues should i be concerned with?
On the other hand, I do have a Canadian Passport, would it be feasible to use the CND passport to apply for the working visa instead?
Thank you all for the assistance.
Sincerely,
Lu
