Applying a job in an International School

Has anyone here applied for a job as a Teacher Assistant in an International School? How come they won't tell you straight if you didn't make it so you can apply somewhere instead of telling you to wait until a certain date if you're hired or even shortlisted (which is still not a guarantee that you made it...) or not?

I have been working in an International School for 3 years now and I applied in other schools for professional & economic reasons. I have a Bachelors degree with above average grade, hardly late or absent, always done an excellent job based on my assessment from my teachers, get along well with my co-workers, can work independently and can always be counted to do a school-related project when the others won't do it. I'm not asking for an outrageous salary either. I just want to be paid standard but I don't get how these schools can't even grant you the courtesy to say "we don't need you or you're not qualified."

It is in the norm for international schools to notify short listed candidates only. So you should continue to apply to as many vacancies as possible. Good luck.
