We were may be a bit naive about the work situation here prior to packing our bags and arriving here, but somehow we presumed that if I have a full time job (and a visa) my husband, who came over on a promise, which unfortunately never materialised would not find it too difficult to find a job. The language barrier now seems to provide an unsurmountable barrier. I have seen the previous thread from around 2 years ago and am hoping that may be there is better news now. Is there any chance of him getting an independent work visa on the strength that I work anyhow?
Any comments, suggestions helpful tips, work offers very much appreciated

If you are married and have a valid work visa, your husband should be able to get a dependant visa and be eligable to work, and you are right, unless you have a specialist skill language will always be a problem in Hong Kong
