Hi,
My career coach is insisting that my strategy for finding a job as finance manager in HK must include LinkedIn. (to have a great profile and to spend time connecting with various people from HK)
However, I just hate LinkedIn (and Facebook) because when I was working in London all my colleagues
were spending sooo much time during working hours on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Did you get your finance job using LinkedIn?

My experience is that not many people use LinkedIn.
SOme people on there probably don't even know they're on it, as I was surprised one day to find myself on it with all my professional details. (!!??)

headhunters use linkedin as a key tool in researching potential candidates. i am getting contacted almost on a weekly basis...
(though not looking to switch jobs)
if you hate it, don't use it. it's just one more tool to increase your chances of landing a job (like writing CVs, drinking in stormies, etc.).

Hi Linama, there wasnt anything personal. Just my name. compagny and position. I was not the only one in the conmpagny, and have friends in same business (finance) who noticed the same thing..
