When we arrived in Hong Kong in June, my old passport was due to expire in March 2010. So my husband received his 1 year visa but mine was shortened to the end of my passport - March. I now have my new passport. My question is: Can I have my visa transfered to my new passport and extended to June as per my husbands visa (I'm on a dependency visa) or would I have to apply for the 3 months extension in March and then again in June? Thanks guys!

There's no need to do anything at this point. Wait about two weeks before expiry of the visa and apply for extension. Your visa is co-terminus with your husband's. You just lose the visa application/processing fee (is it 135 or 160 $?)
In addition, if you travel at this point, you need to bring with you your new passport and the old passport where your visa is (to re-enter HK).
