Your employer will already have supplied your passport details to Immigration when your application was submitted so don't go getting a new passport and complicate things. If you are asked questions when coming through Immigration tell them the truth, that you are waiting for your work visa to be accepted.

Can't understand why it is taking so long, I have applied for work visas for our staff and it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks max. Perhaps your employer has been slack and has only just submitted the application.

What sort of job are you meant to be doing?

Visa applications for employees (provided all the correct documents are supplied) only take six weeks max. I have done this many times for my company.

Is it possible that perhaps your employer hasn't even applied for your visa? Have you had the confirmation card from IMD?
