URGENT HELP-ADVICE ON INT PROCESS

Hi why don't you suggest the company to do the first interview over the phone? I am sure they'd understand it's a big commitment for you to spend time and money to travel out there. I know some companies would even consider the request for reinbursement of travel expenses for the right talents.

Most importantly, the interview is a two way street. You should also find out more about the job on the 1st interview before making a decision to travel out there.

Video conference is a good idea, it's very easy for companies to set up nowadays, I dont see why you shouldn't suggest it.

Unless, you have also other interviews/meetings lined up in HK, I wouldn't go there just for one 1st interview...I have just got a job offer in HK - and my 1st interview was done over the phone while I am in the UK...
