My work visa is about to expire in January. Originally, my company was going to renew my contract but due to their financial situation, they are not able to renew. In the meantime, my wife started a company in HK on her dependent visa. We learned that we can apply for an Investment visa based on her company. However, that will likely not come through until after our visa has already expired. We can, of course, stay in HK for 90 days on a tourist visa. But what happens to our helper's visa after our visa expires? Assuming it, too, expires, is there any way to petition for continuation of our helper's visa while our application is being processed?
