Hi Can anyone help?
I came to HK with my partner on a dependent visa 2 yrs ago. Recently I was offered a job and the new employee insisted I get a separate work visa in my name - which I now have.
Have I lost the 2 years I have built up towards my permanent residence by taking the work visa???
immigration just will not answer the question!

agree with cara...you should speak to IMMD about why you would need an Emp. visa while on a Dep visa...there should be no such requirement...you ARE still married correct? Meaning your Dep. visa is still valid? I'm wondering about the use of 'partner' instead of 'spouse'...
