Hi friends,
I have moved to HK 5 mnths bk on dependent visa and have 10 years of IT experience prior to that in India. Have been working as a project manager since last five years. Want to get back to work but not yet successful. I keep posting my resume but no call. I am a b.tech in comp science with good academic records and worked in reputes software companies in India. I do not know chinese. can anyone guide?

If you have not found work, don't despair.... HK is a crazy place and sometimes you get stuck. The best thing you can do is join all the different groups on Facebook and go to as many social events as possible. iPro, ISOC, HKITF etc... Techtalk, Webwednesday, Hang out socially...
Your qualifications are not recognized here.... I had an HND and went back to the UK to go do a degree and a masters..... after that no one has ever asked me for my qualifications. Still you can get work if you demonstrate your abilities and be able to hold your end of an discussion.
What kind of PM work have you done?

Hi Thanks for your feedback. I have worked for clients like Citi group, State Street Corporation, Fifth Third bank, General Electric all based in USA. As a PM I have handled teams of 20 people both onshore and offshore, my reponsibilities included estimation, budgeting, monitoring and work allocation, reporting to higher management, client interaction, query resolution with business, technical reviews, appraisals for the team members, taking part in quality audits etc.
