Dependent Visa expiry

As sad as it is we have decided to pack the bags and return to our home country, where outdoor escalator riding is a mere fantasy.


I am currently on a work visa and the wife is on a dependent's visa - we both work. For various reasons I am going to finish up in my job before she does, so my question to all HK visa experts out there is thus: will the fact that I will finish my job before my wife have an impact on my wife's dependent's visa?


I believe the answer is that provided my visa does not expire before we leave the country then it should be okay, but would be grateful for any views. One concern I have is that I will need to submit the necessary forms to the IRD to finalise my tax bill, but hopefully the IRD won't query why she is not doing the same?
