Salary adjustment / inflation ?

Agreed is salary adjustment based on inflation (i assume annually :) - which figure should apply ?. I saw today on-line the DEC one is 3.7%. Median Jan to DEC 4.1%. Which one do you guys apply, or any other ?. THX !

If I'm the employer I will use the lower number and the higher one if I'm the employee!

Haha; makes sense :) - last adjustment 12 months ago, so i guess fair is a Median over the period.. (which is higher then DEC 3.7%
