Changing Employment

My contract from my current employer ends 2nd July and I start a contract with a new employer on the same date.

My work visa expires than also. How far in advance can I get a new sponsorship visa with my new employer?

You better ask immigration directly. But have i would "guess" that you can apply for a new visa while still working for your current employer. Take into account that a new work visa may take from 1-3 months to process. So if it takes 3 months to process, you therefore need to start processing 3 months before the start of your new employment. hth
