Wouls setting up a small business with a local partner help for a visa?

Hi, I would love some advice on this issue as I find information either confusing or contradictory :

I am 50 and have been approached by a local friend to get involved in her potential catering business which she wants to aim at tourists and foreigners and she thinks I could be a good addition to the business having ran my own tiny business on a budget(I am also French which seems to impress people whenever food is involved) anyway...I would consider that position as a co-owner only if it is likely to help me with a visa.

I do not have money to invest in the project and we'd be starting small.

My question is whether I would be allowed to get involved in the project as a co-director.

And if so, would I be allowed to either get a business visa or as a less appealing option, a frequent visitor status?

I come in and out of HK all the time and spend my time here on a tourist visa but it is an unstable and unpredictable situation I would like to improve.

Thanks in advance for any reply!
