What salary would a GM of a medium sized trading office in Hong Kong command?

I have my annual salary review coming up but I am not sure what salary I should command and I am wondering whether anyone on these boards could provide some advice/benchmark. I will briefly explain the nature of the business and the size of the company.

I am basically the General Manager of a trading company which operates in the plastic packaging sector. The company is part of an international group of companies headquartered in Europe.

My situation is slightly complicated as I initially joined the company in a somewhat junior position on a low salary about 4 years ago when the company was losing money. I was slowly given more responsibility until I rebuilt the supplier base and hired a whole new team. Today the company is well in the black and turns a tidy profit. It is considered an important part of the group with very strong growth prospects.

I am wondering what the basic salary should be for a GM in a similar position to mine. Some facts:
- International privately owned group of companies with a good reputation in the industry
- Group turnover approx. USD 65m
- Turnover of HK trading office (which I run) approx. USD 10m
- Total staff in HK/China (which I am responsible for) 14
- Full P&L responsibility
- Strong growth plan
- International travel required, especially in China

I am interested in knowing what the approximate base salary should be for this sort of position in Hong Kong, but if you would like to provide details about accommodation benefits/bonuses etc, that would also be welcome.

Thanks in advance for your comments.
