HK employment visa

Hello everyone,

My question is about success rate to get Hong Kong employment visa if the sponsor is just recently registered company with only one employee (director) at the time. I have the appointment letter with quite competitive salary stated, BR certificate copy and can also get all other necessary documents. And I can also easily prove my skills in the area and why they are absent in the local labour market. But, I just worry whether it is possible at all that the company will be approved by immd as the sponsor because it's very new and, actually, doesn't have any any activities yet. I'm not sure about the capital investment but I don't think that it is more than few millions HKD.

Actually, it is mostly research position for production of innovative material. They have office registered, but currently they don't have any facilities to perform this research and it will be of my responsibilities to organise such an research and explore the possibilities of collaboration with other parties. And I also worked in HK in the same field before for more than a year but in a much more recognized organization, actually, in a big university.

Hi, I used to apply the visa for the expatriates of the company but mostly for replacement, so it's very simple and easy. I checked once for a new set up company, it will be more complicated. The employing company must provide the business plan in detail on the form ID 990B to prove this position is real and needed for the company in business. Not only the employee is the applicant, the company also is the applicant(ask to get approval from government to hire non-local people). More detail will be more chance to get approval.
Good Luck!
