Teacher thinking of moving to HK to work at AIS Kowloon

I have read comments about AIS not being a quality school but these are older comments from people looking from parents. I am considering accepting a teaching position at this school. There website indicates that there have been renovations and that the school is WASC accredited. It looks like a great place to work. Anyone have credible information or rationale about why I should be afraid. I do not want to move my family if it is going to be a bad experience.

Appreciate your advice.

better to post this in Education, but...

CIS is a very good school in all areas, especially strong in arts; disciplined and respectful students, excellent facilities; from my wife who worked there for 2.5 years

AIS - Has some lovely students who speak exceptional english, they come to my dance classes.

No idea about working environment but their are ALWAYS pros and cons in a school. Life in HK is amazing for a teacher, you'd be passing by a great opportunity if you said no.

It's regarded as second tier because the students are mostly non-native English, esp. Asian, but they are also industrious and all those other cliches- I've tutored a lot of kids form there & their English levels varied widely, but they all worked damn hard! Take the job, it will be fine!
