Hi everyone. Need advice. I'm holding a dependent visa. I left HK May of last year and withdrew my MPF. Things didn't work out here so I'm planning to go back to HK on September. My question is, will my visa be affected by my declaration of permanent departure from HK? My visa will expire April of next year. I want to know what my options are upon my return. Thanks in advance.

Where's the person you were dependant on, now? I am assuming not in HK, right? In which case it would be best to discuss on a no-names basis with Immigration.

Hi Cara. I never meant to make you feel unappreciated with your effort. In fact, I did thank you for being the first one to post something. I only thanked the two (spurtio and beancurd) thinking I need not mention you again since your post has already been previously acknowledged. My apologies if my action has slighted you somehow. Please know that I'm greatly appreciative of you taking time out to help others...in this case, ME. Thanks again.

lots of people do this (change their mind about permanently leaving) - there really is no issue with immigration. The only issue is that you can only withdraw your MFP once, so you cant withdraw it again if you leave "permanently".
